"If your only tool is a hammer, you'll see every problem as a nail" --Abraham Maslow
Why use an ancient wisdom to navigate today's modern challenges?
Even though technology is dramatically different, many of our inter-personal challenges are the same as our ancestors.
The Enneagram is an ancient & dynamic system of understanding how your ego, patterns, fears, & motivations help you navigate the world.
The Enneagram centers 9 different perspectives on the world which are commonly referred to as "types".
Think of it as a map, where through careful conversation about the impactful moments of your life, we can find the “you are here” sign to guide your path of development ahead.
Your "type" is the "you are here" but not your final destination.
Our Enneagram Type became our dominant strategy to get what we want in life, no matter what the context.
But your type strategy came with patterns and habits that sometimes land you in hot water.
These patterns can put up walls between us and the very people we are wanting to forge deeper connections with.
They become barriers to experiencing our true nature and who we want to be in the world.
Through being present to our beautiful body, heart, and mind centres of intelligence, The Enneagram:
Helps us identify which patterns you've been subconsciously defaulting to
Discover what your natural gifts are when present to your best and truest self
Create understanding through conflict and differences
Provides a guide for how to move forward when you're stuck
Puts you on the map towards living the life you have always envisioned for yourself.
There are many places to learn about the history of the Enneagram, or the different elements that make up the symbol and structure, or about the big thought leaders who are applying this tool to all sorts of experiences and contexts.
I can happily point you towards my recommended resources.
And, if you’re ready to find out how using the Enneagram can help you connect to what's been missing, let's talk.
